Information - education campaign concerning the prevention of trafficking in human beings
The Regional Police Headquarters in Lublin within the framework of the project "Safe Europe – exchange of knowledge and experiences in the scope of protection of the EU financial interests" financed from the Norwegian funds held a public informational and educational campaign aimed at increasing awareness of potential victims in the area of widely understood human trafficking, with particular emphasis on sexual and labour exploitation. The campaign covered five regions: Lublin, Mazovia, Podkarpacie, Podlasie, Warmia-Mazury regions.
The aim of the campaign was to raise awareness to potential human trafficking victims of the risk of reckless departure abroad for work purposes. The campaign also indicated the methods to avoid these risks.
The campaign was conducted in two directions, the first aimed at young people, mostly the ones who may become victims of sexual violence abroad and the second one directed to middle-aged people (45+), mostly becoming victims of labour exploatation.
The first edition concerned the issues of prevention of sexual abuse. It was addressed to girls, young women dissatisfied with their life situation, seeking new friends, impressions, who want to realize their dreams of fame, a better life, a rich partner, "wanting to become more recognized", aspiring to become professional models, actresses.
The first part of the campaign consisted of television and radio spots supplemented with leaflets that relate to the topic of preventing sexual abuse. It held the logo of the campaign and the joint motto ("Not for sale") and some auxiliary slogans. The campaign pointed to young women. These are often girls without education, do not know the foreign language, do not have prospects for a better job. The main objective of the campaign was paying their attention, to show potential dangers and how to avoid them.
To achieve this effect, there were linked two worlds. The first word is the world of ideas, which strongly affects the senses. In the imagination, aeverything is possible. The naive belief that a career can be done quickly and easily, is here dominant. In the world of ideas a woman is on a pedestal, she is elegant, lives in luxury, makes a career in the limelight.
Later there is the collision with the other world. It is a settlement with naïve expectations. The second world is a reality that can touch every careless woman. Like the first, it works on the senses, but this time it feels repulsive.
In the first edition there were printed leaflets aimed at potential victims of sexual exploitation in the context of human trafficking.
The second edition of the campaign concerned the prevention of labour exploitation. It was aas addressed to unemployed people, aged 45+, with small employment opportunities on the Polish labor market, characterized by a low level of professional qualifications, who are in a difficult situation, which prevents them from rational assessment of potential risks. The campain consisted of television and radio spots supplemented with leaflets that relate to the topic of preventing labour exploitation. It held the logo of the campaign and the joint motto ("Not for sale") and some auxiliary slogans.

The unemployed in the age 45+ often do not know foreign languages and the reality of living and working abroad , they are also unaware of the legal and social aspects related to such kind of life and work. The main objective of the campaign was paying their attention, showing the dangers and how to avoid them.
To achieve this effect, there were compared two worlds. The first is the world of ideas, which strongly affects the senses. In the imagination, everything is possible. Even a job advertisement posted on a pole may lead to the rich life in luxury - it promises easy job with high .
Later there is the collision with the other world. It is a settlement with naive expectations. The second world is a reality that can affect any person choosing to work abroad , who didn’t check the work intermediary. Such departure may become leaving for labour exploitation.
