Training workshops on international search of individuals
The training workshops concerning the international search of individuals hiding from justice, Schengen acquis and development of skills on using the equipment connected with Schengen were organized in Białystok in the framework of the project „Safe Europe – fight against cross-border and organised crime on the Eastern Border of the EU”.
On 19th – 24th May 2015 in Białystok the police officers from the crime intelligence of the Regional Police Headquarters in Białystok hosted the training workshops organized within the project „Safe Europe – fight against cross-border and organised crime on the Eastern Border of the EU”. The conference was opened by general Sławomir Mierzwa – Chief Commander of Podlaska Regional Police. Apart from the police officers responsible for international search from podlaski garrison the representatives of the regional police from lubelskie, warmińsko-mazurskie, podkarpackie voivodship took part in the conference as well as the representatives of the National Police Headquarters, Justice and Prosecutor’s Office. During the 5 day training workshops the following topics were discussed: legal regulations, procedures and proceedings conducted by the police in the scope of international search of individuals hiding from justice and search for missing people. During the workshops the police officers shared their knowledge and experience basing on conducted cases. It was one of many activities planned in the framework of this project financed from the funds of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009 – 2014.
